NAPIER HARRIER CLUB

ELECTION OF OFFICERS. A largo and enthusiastic meeting was held in Napier hist evening for the purpose of forming a harrier club. Mr C. O. Morse, Mayor of Napier, was present and presided over the meeting. It was decided that the new club be known as the Napier Harrier Club and that the selection of club colours be left to the committee. An offer from Mr. and Mrs. Morse that the club’s opening run on April 21 be held from their residence in Delhi road was accepted. A preliminary run was decided on for Saturday, April 14. A resolution was passed that the club he affiliated with tho n.8.-P.B. Centre. Mr Gordon, of Taradale, was elected first honorary member. Subscriptions were fixed at 5/- for active members and 2/6 for honorary members. Twenty-five active members joined up with the newly-formed club. Tho election of officers resulted: — Patron, Air C. 0. Morse; president, Mr W. At. Angus; vice-presidents, Messrs \\. F. Barnard, N. A. McKenzie, .1. Eagle, L. Kay-Chapman, L. Limbriek, W. Corbett. AL Turton: secretary Air F. A. Brock; treasurer, Mr A. Angus; club captain, Atr T. Venn; publicity agent. Air P. Duffy; handicapper and starter, Mr A. Clough; delegate to centre, Air T. Venn; selector, Mr A Clough: committee, Alessrs G. Denford, P. Duffy, AlcSweeney, A. Clough, sec rotary, treasurer and club captain.
