Delay in Finding Balance By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 5. Commenting on the criticism of the time elapsing between the end of the financial rear and official announcement of the results of the year’s working, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, said that Britain had a post-audit and New Zealand a preaudit, so that in the Dominion it was not possible to know the financial position until tho audit was completed. Questioned about the effect of this delay, Mr. Forbes said that at various times the matter had been discussed by Cabinet, but the difficulties wore considered to bo such as to make a change in the system inadvisable. He could not comment on tho advantage or otherwise to the Government and to the business community of knowing the country’s financial position earlier than at present
