British Securities Rise (Received 5, 10.25 a.m.) LONDON, April 4. Gold is quoted at £6 14/3 an ounce. The dollar rate is 5.18 J and the franc 78|. Gilt-edged securities are substantially higher owing to the favourable reception of the funding loan. A heavy application is considered assured.
