H.B. RUGBY LEAGUE
OFFICERS ELECTED. At the meeting of the Rawke’s Bay Rugby League the following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr W. E. Barnard, M.P.; president and chairman, Mr C. W. Merrick; vice-presidents who were elected last year were again elected; management committee, Messrs C. W. Merrick, H. C. Nicholls, O. E. Maney, G. Frater, H. J. Fulford, F. J. Fraser and H. Biekerstaff, together with a delegate from each clnb, junior advisory board and Referees’ Association; ladies’ social committee, Mes dames Fulford, Reid and Miss G. L. Mackay. Dissatisfaction was expressed with the present arrangement whereby Me Lean Park is retained solely for Rugby games, and it was decided to approach the Napier Borough Council with the suggestion the League representative games should be played there.
