METHODIST GIRLS’ CAMP

TE AWANGA GATHERING. The annual H.8.-Alauawatu Young Women’s Methodist Bible Class Easter Camp was held at Te Awanga from March 29th to April 2nd. The chief officer, Airs. R. Craven, Fcrnhill, together with Mrs. C. G. Cunnold, of Hastings, the camp mother, made the 70 campers feel that life, when lived in fun and fellowship with others, was true happiness. The campers were delighted to have with them Mrs. C. Terry, of Feilding, who was leader of the spiritual side of the camp, opening fresh channels of thought on “Love never fails,” and leaving the party keen to continue the Christian adventure.

The Rev. R ,B. Gosnell, of Hastings, conducted Communion on Sunday morn, ing. The sports afternoon was greatly enjoyed. In the contest between the two houses, Te AVharekoa and Naumai, the victory went to the former, with a margin of three points. Swimming, boating and afternoon walks were very popular with everyone. Fellow campers were present from Wairoa and Gisborne and Wellington and this added to the pleasure of the camp.
