FACTORY ACCIDENT
Man Sprayed by Molten Metal SYDNEY, April 4. An accident occurred at the Australian iron and steel foundry to-day. One man was killed and seven were injured. A huge mould containing five tons of molten metal was being raised by a crane when the bottom fell out and the molten metal was sprayed everywhere.
John Douglas, aged 25, was terribly splashed and died instantly. Robert Easton, Jack Devlin and Leslie Nichol were extensively burned and are in a serious condition, but the remainder of the mon were less severely injured and were able to go home.
