Store Sheep Values Fewer store sheep were entered at - Etortford Lodge to-day, the pens being sparsely filled. Lamb lines were in the biggest numbers and in the early part of the sale these drafts were selling well, particularly for good forward iimw. Fattening ewes were realising , late rates, while breeding ewes, which ; were in short supply, were somewhat j pat civ. j Some of the entries and prices paid, up to the time of going to press, from which an idea of the state of the market may be obtained, were as follow:— A pen of 101 fat and forward woolly lambs, well grown and in good order, realised 17/2. Ewe lambs, a small pen of 55 medium framed woollv sheep, down from Riwsington, made 16/10. Fat and forward, a line of 178 fairly framed sheep, somewhat mixed as to condition, sold out at 14/3. A line of 176 fat and forward wether lambs, well grown and in great order, down from Ruukituri, made 18/5. A bid of 15 5 secured a pen of 56 fattening ewes, well framed and in good order. A Wairoa draft of 210 shorn blr'Yfaced lambs, small framed and lightly covered, sold out nt 9/6. Down from Patoka a pen of 55 wether lambs, well grown and forward conditioned, realised 15 8. A further pen of 210 shorn hlackfaced lambs, down from the Wairoa district, made 9/1. Down from Spring Hill station. Motaka, a pen of 109 Southdown and Romney crossbred wether lamhs, fairly framed and in good order, sold at 15'6. A pen of 69 2-th. to 4-yr. ewes, running with Southdown rams since the end of February, chiefly 4-th. ewes, fairlv grown and mixed as to type of wool, realised 16,3. A hid of 18/- secured a pen of 103 wether lambs, fairly framed and in good order.
