Sydney Woman Rider Dies SOUTHLAND MAN INJURED (Received 3, 10.55 a.m.) SYDNEY ,April 3. Miss Eve Daly, aged 21, one of the State’s best known riders, who received a fractured skull during the women’s hunt at the Show on Good Friday, died in hospital. A second serious accident at the Show occurred when J. W. McLaren, of Otautau, Southland, was thrown heavily when his mount struck a hurdle in the heavyweight hunters’ contest. He was admitted to hospital suffering from concussion and possibly a fractured nose.
