Maraekakaho Valley’s Wants OFFICERS’ REPORTS For some time past a number of settlers in the Maraekakaho Valley have been making enquiries as to the possibilities of the Hawke', Bay Electrio Power Board extending its reticulation in order to give them service. This afternoon the engineer. Mr H L. Benjamin, reported to the board that to supply these settlers it would be necessary to erect two substations and 3} miles of line at a capita) cost of £l,lBO. Reporting to the board on the same matter, the secretary, Mr H. H. Wylie, stated that he had written to all the settlers concerned, giving them the amount of guarantee required—£236 per annum. He had advised them that if a meeting of settlers was held the board's officials would attend and give further details.
