WAIPUKURA.U OLD BOYS BUB-FNION REPRESENTATION At the annual general meeting of the Waipukurau Football Club, at which Mr W. Gibson, president, secretary and captains (3) exofficio. Reference to the Waipawa club’s proposal to effect a change in the representation -n the sub-union was made by the secretary, Mr J. Bell, who point ed out the advantage of the existing procedure in enabling the appointment of a chairman and secretary independent of individual clubs. The president, secretary, and a vicepresident, M r A. C. Holms, spoke opposing the suggestion that the chairman and secretary be elected by the club's representatives and contended that the Referees’ Association had strong claims to special representation as at present.

FOOTBALL AT ONGAONGA. VARIOUS MATTERS DEALT WITH The annual general meeting of tin Ongaonga Football Club was held :n the hull, there being a fairly good nt tendance. Mr O. Dassler, J. Russell, J. Buchanan (four were appointed in the event of one being unable to attend); management committee, Messrs J. Buchanan, P. Spaekman, O. Harris, P. Hansen and captain of senior team; selector, Mr O. Harris; delegate to sub-union, Mr B Dassler. A letter of condolence from the club is to be forwarded to Mrs E. G. Rathbone and family. Phe players' subscription is to be left at 5/- for seniors and 2/6 for juniors. The honorary members’ subisoription is also to be left at 5/-. It was decided that a senior team be en tered for the competitions. A delegu tion consisting of the management committee and Mr G. Fletcher is to attend the Tikokino club’s annual meeting to ascertain if suitable arrangements ran be made regarding both ciui>s joining in fielding a senior and a junior team. If this can be accomplished Mr G. l-'leteher is to bn appointed manager to Ongaonga’s interests in Tikokino. Letters of appreciation are to be sent to those ladies who assisted with the supper arrangements at the club's dances during the year, Also a small token of appreciation is to be sent to each. Mr T. Meissner is to be presented with a token in nppieciation for the assistance be has gneu during the past two seasons in acting as gate-keeper. Mr 11. Buchanan is to be thanked for granting tho use of his field again last season. The meeting concluded with a vole of thanks to the chairman.
