HASTINGS CITIZENS’ BAND
Sunday Afternoon Concert Having got over their hard training for the championship contest, the Hastings Citizens’ Band has now settled down again to ordinary routine work, and are looking forward to giving a series of both inside and outside concerts during the coming season. The band has been very fortunate indeed in being able to secure the services ol two very tine players in Bandsmen McPherson (solo cornet), and Jensen (euphonium), who are proving a wonderful acquisition to the band in even way. On Sunday afternoon, commencing at 2-30 p m., the band will render a firstclass programme of items in Cornwall tbirk, and a large crowd is anticipated. The programme will be as follows: — March, “Powerful”: selection. "Martha”; cornet solo, ‘ Australis (by Bandsman .McPherson); hymn, "Abide with Me”; intermezzo, “Tell Me Tonight” ; waltz, “Donauwellan”; fantasia, "Rustic Scenes”; song, “Just an Echo in the Valley"; marches, “En Route” and ‘ The Drum Major. A collection will lie taken in aid oi the band's funds
