Fanning) at the end of a very fair run five furlongs in 64}sec on the plough. * * « Many others were restricted to various slow pacings. En route for Manawatu, Cotsfleld, Kahunoke, and Conference were on the Hastings tracks this morning for a few minutes. The two last-named appeared in excellent order and condition. The three-year-old gelding in C. J. Stowe’s stable by Malapert—Jeanette will race as Unexpected. Others engaged at Hastings which have recently been named are: Dovecourt (Gainscourt-Kildare), Well Spoken (Gasbag—Taupiko), and Okanogan (Gascony—Aureate.
