SHORTHORN ENTRIES
A Strong Section JUDGE’S COMMENTS Mr J. H. S. Allen, of Hatuma, judged the Milking Shorthorn section at the Autumn Show yesterday, and when interviewed regarding his adjudications he stated that the entry was a strong section generally and improved on last year. The winning pedigree bull, calved since July, 1933, entered by Miss G. Breen, was of good type and possessed a very good top-line. Mr E. Wall’s entry, which secured second place, was also a good bull, but was not quite as well done as far as the top-line. Discussing the pedigree heifer entries, Mr Allen said that the winning beast, entered by Miss Breen, was a very good animal from all points, while the second heifer, from Mr E. Wall’s herd, was particularly good as to conformation.
