H.B. CHILDREN’S HOMES

ANNUAL APPEAL. To-inorrow, March 17, all the tpwns in Hawke’s Bai' will be canvassed by collectors in an effort to obtain the sum of £lOOO required to carry on the work of the Hawke's Bay Children’s Home. The collectors are all giving their time and services in the cause and will be most happy to receive donations however small. It may be pointed out that many small donations grow into a large sum in the aggregate, and we hope no resident sympathetic with the work will hesitate to give because he or she may think a small donation is of no benefit. It is felt that collectors will obtain a cordial welcome when they call for subscriptions. There are, of course, many parts of the provincial district which cannot be reached by collectors, and to those beyond the collecting area an appeal is made to do their part by sending subscriptions by post. Forty-one years of this work have proved that financial assistance is readily given when the matter is brought to the notice of the public, and every effort is being made to bring the urgent need before all in this district. Cheques sent by post should be made payable to the Hawke’s Bay Children’s Home and sent to Mr FL E. Edgley, Church Lane- (P.O. Box 145), Napier.
