From what Mr W. Harvey, president of the Napier Uliamher of Commerce, repotted to the Chamber when it met last night, the district telegraph engineer of the Wellington district will shoitly give the Post and Telegraph Department's views upon the restoration of the automatic telephone system at Napier Mr N. 11. Mclsaac, chief postmaster, said that as soon as possible this information would be laid before the Chamber Investigating the full circumstances was a big job, commented tho president, but he believed members would have the departmcnt’s reply in about a week.
