FILM INDUSTRY INQUIRY
Evidence Heard in Wellington — NO SITTINGS ELSEWHERE By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 14. Evidence was heard to-day by the ' Parliamentary committee appointed t.o carry out an investigation into the film industry. Mr A. Harris, M.P. for I Waitemata, presided. Counsel representing the New Zea | land film exchanges addressed the committee followed by representatives j of the New Zealand Motion Picture , Exhibitors' Association. Cross-ex- I amination was in progress when the committee adjourned in the late after ' noon. The questioning of wilnesse.will be resumed tomorrow. It is not likely that the >tt'-e will hold any sittings outside Woltiny ton, the Government being of the opinion that all information and data required under the order of preference can be obtained here.
