Carriers’ Licenses CONFERENCE IN HASTINGS I A short and informal conference between the Hawke’s Bay and Wairarapa Carriers’ Associations and Mr J. S. Hunter, Commissioner of Transport, took place in Hastings yesterday. The purpose of tiie conference, in which Mr J. Thompson, Dominion organiser for carriers’ associations, was associated with Mr Hunter, was to c<ui-' sider proposed amendments to the I regulations governing goods transport I licenses. The present regulations expire in May. Representatives of the carriers pointed out a number of anomalies in the existing regulations, and made various suggestions for the better working of future regulations.
