Mr. Oswald Nelson, of Mangateretere, was a passenger from Hastings for Wellington by the mail train this merning. Mr. E. J. Guthrie, stationmaster of Thorndon Station, Wellington, and Mrs Guthrie have returned from a trip to Australia. Mr. S- Hartley, of Yorkshire, arrived at Auckland from Sydney by the Marama on Tuesday on a combined business and pleasure visit to the Do minion. Mr. F. W. Haigh Hill, of Hove, Suesex, a retired official of the Ocean Accident and Guarantee Corporation, Limited, arrived at Auckland by the Marama on Tuesday from Sydney, accompanied by Mrs. Haigh Hill, on a holiday visit to New Zealand. Mr. B. J. Williams, formerly of Bunbury, Western Australia, recently appointed as superintendent of the Missions to Seamen Memorial Institute, has arrived in Wellington. With Mrs. Williams he was a passenger in the Wanganella from Sydney. Mr. Williams was educated at the University of South Wales in Monmouth. He left England six years ago, and for the past three and a half years be has been in charge of the Missions to Seamen station in Bunbury. Mr. Williams is a candidate for Holy Orders, and he hopes to obtain them while he is in the Dominion. With Mrs. Williams he is staying temporarily * with Canon Percival James.
