Exhibitions of billiards playing will , be given this evening at the Heretaupga Club by Clark McConachy. Mr. ‘ Albert Davies, of Hastings, will be his ’ opponent in the principal games. Where’er you go in Hawke’s Bay at 3 the present time, one of the chief . topics of conversation is the Puketapu sports meeting, which will be held on ’ Saturday next, March 17. It is a meeting with which so many pleasant memories aro associated that it is 1 looked forward to with keen anticipa- ■ lion.
