HAVELOCK SWIMMING
FINAL CARNIVAL HELD LAST NIGHT’S RESULTS The weekly carnival of the Havelock North Swimming Club was held in the public baths last evening. There was a very poor attendance, but in spite of the cold there was a number of hardy swimmers who faced the starter. It was announced that there will be no more carnivals this season. The following are the results, all times being nett: — Schoolchildren’s 50 yards. — First heat: D. Marven 1, W. Davis 2. Time, 45 secs. Second heat: W. Smallwood I, J. Ladbrook 2 Time, 37 4-5 secs. Final: D. .Marven 1, W. Smallwood 2, J. Ladbrook 3. Time, 43 4-5 secs. Women s 50 yards.—M. Treneman 1, P. Marven 2. Time, 39 2-5 secs. Senior Scouts, 50 yards.—D. Leicester 1, J. Taylor 2. Time, 31 4-5 secs. Junior Scouts,2s yards—-J. Ladbrook 1, W. Smallwood 2. Time, 17 2-5 secs. Seaior 820 yards—B Millar 1, D. 1
