WEDDING
ADAMS—VESTY. A pretty wedding was solemnised at the Methodist Church, Waipawa, on Wednesday afternoon, when Vera Madeline, elder daughter of Airs W. Vesty and the late Air VV. Vesty, of Tikokino. was married to Lewis Stanley, second son of Mr and Airs W. Adams, Hinemoa Terraco, Waipukurau. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. Dyson and Mrs Barker presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully decorated by girl friends of the bride in shades of pink and mauve flowers, the pretty wedding group standing under a pink and mauve floral bell. The bride, who entered the church escorted by Mr E. Gilbertson, VVaipiri station, Waipawa, made a charming picture in a model gown of white lace, cut very simply on long straight lines and falling m soft Hares at her feet, with a big bow on the hip. The big puffed sleeves were tight-fitting from the elbow. Over this was arranged a ved of white embroidered net, caught to the head with orange blossoms, and fell in graceful folds to form a train. Her bouquet was composed of white and pale pink carnations. The bridegroom s sister, Miss A. Adams, attended the bride, wearing an attractive frock of blue and lemon floral organdi. Narrow frills trimmed the tight fitting bodice, and tho ruched puffed sleeves were finished with narrow frills. Tho long frilled skirt had rows of narrow frills at the hip line. Her hat was of cream straw banded with blue. She wore blue brocaded shoes and blue organdie mittens, and a bouquet of shaded pink roses was carried. Mr T. Davies, of Fernhill, was best man. After the ceremony about 63 guests were entertained at the “Lounge” Tea Rooms, which were decorated in shades of pink and mauve. Mrs Vesty, mother of the bride, received the guests gowned in a floral ensemble, with hat to tone and carrying a mauve bouquet. Mrs Adams, mother of the bridegroom, was attired id a navy blue encernble and navy blue hat. Her bouquet was of pink and red shaded roses. For going away the bride chose a smart striped frock in brown and red, with hat, shoes and bag to match. Some of the guests included Mr and Mrs C. and J. Vesty, Misses P. and T. Vesty, Mrs Rumba] (sister of the bride), Mrs Dickinson, Mr J. Adams, Mr and Airs W. Sharpin, Miss M. Sharpin, Airs B. Grovenser, Mr and Mrs E. Gilbertson, Mr and Mrs Saunders, Mr and Mrs Douglas Williams, Mr and Mrs T. Parkinson, Mr and Airs Bruce, Airs J. Nairn, Misses McNutt, Miss A. Bomber (Wanganui), Miss V. King (Hastings), Miss E. Wills. Messrs B. Williams, L. Burnett, S. Williams, D. Orr, P. Haydon, N. McGaffin, J. Harvey, J Cook, J. Nation.
