CHRISTCHURCH, March 12 The department’s decision to close number two relief camp at Lewis Pass is final, according to a telegram from the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. ,1. Bitchener, to the Mayor, Mr D G. Sullivan. The Minister states that for some time reports from hiss officers regarding tho camp had beer, of such a nature that he was forced to the conclusion that the only action possible was to close down the catnp.
