SUCCESSFUL “SHOP” HELD. From Our Own Correspondent A very successful “shop” was held in Tekapau on Saturday by the Ladies’ Guild of the Takapau Presbyterinn tliurch. the effort being responsible for a net return of over £3O. The workers responsible are indebted for the good result principally to the liberal donations of goods received from all parts of the district, eotnpri ing meat, veget ables, farm produce, cakes, fancy goods and sweets, as well ns an assortment nf articles for a jumble stall. In connection with the shop a tea booth was in operation at the stock yards and the takings there helped considerably towards the total. GOLF SEASON OPENING. The Takapau golf links will open for the season on Saturday next, when a mixed foursome will bo played. Mem bent of neighbouring club, are invited to participate in ’he opening games.
