(Received 3, 12.55 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 2 “Watch out for tombstone votes” is becoming the Mayoralty slogan as election day draw’s near. It is revealed that the names of at least five men who have been dead for from six months to 50 years are appearing among the lists of sponsors of the various candidates. The race is so keen now that efforts arc being made to utilise every political stratagem. There is a concerted move to bring “floaters” into the city for the purpose of voting. Prosecuting agencies are overtaxed, investigating alleged frauds, the police reporting thousands of suspected eases. Many arrests have already been made.
