Among the subjects which were broached last night at the annual meeting of the Te Awa Citizens’ League, was the need for a public slot-tele-phone in the Te Awa district. The chairman (Mr F. J. Darling) said the installation of such a service would benefit not only the Post and Telegraph Department but it would bo a great boon to the householders. The speaker also urged residents to make fuller use of the local Post Office. He pointed out that to retain this service it would be necessary for residents to take full advantage of its facilities.
