HASTINGS CITIZENS’ BAND

CONCERT ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

In this day of mechanical music from radios, gramophones, etc., it is a treat to hear the real thing. Brass bands are at the present time at a very high standard of playing, and it can safely be said that they provide “the music of the people.” On Sunday afternoon at 2.30 p.m. the Hastings Citizens' Band will render a first-class programme of music in Cornwall Park, Hastings. The programme will be as follows: March, "Washington Greys”; selection, “Verdi”; hymn, “Jesu, Lover of My Soul” ; waltz, “Golden Valse”; humorous, “Pop Goes the Weasel”; march, “Wellington”; American sketch, “By the Swannee River” ; march, “On the Road.” This is a really first-class programme, and tho band would appreciate a large crowd in encouragement of their untiring efforts to entertain.
