STRUCK BY CRICKET BALL
NOT A BODY-LINER. INQUEST AT LEICESTER. LONDON, Aug. 16. That a fatal cricket bail need not be a body-liner was established at Leicester at the inquest on Edward Daymen, aged 45, who died after being struck in the stomach during a match though he continued his innings until bowled. A witness testified that the wicket was very fiery, but no body-line bowling was used. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
