BOXING
SATURDAY’S BIG BOUT. KNUCKEY AND WRIGHT IN FORM. Signals are set at “all clear” for the big boxing contest which is to take place in the Hastings Drill Hall on Saturday night, between George Wright, New Zealand bantam cham)ion, and Len Knuekey, his most ogical challenger, and although the title will not be at stake in this contest indications are not wanting that the battle will be quite as good as if it were a title maeh. Both boxers are out for future business and with this in view are keen to exhibit their best wares, especially as it is likely that a title bout will follow provided the battle is up to expectations. Both boxers are fit and well and full of confidence, and except to remind fans that it will be a wise move to reserve at Donovan’s, little remains to be said about the contest. Mr. Ned Perry, of Wellington, has been chosen to act as referee in fulfilment of the association’s policy of changing its officials round, and the judges for the amateur bouts will be Messrs. R. Gray and P. C. Peterson, with Mr. E. Little as referee. The amateur bouts have been arranged as follows:— Ray Kitchen (Feilding) v. J. Ferguson (Elsthorpe). Jim Kesketh (Feilding) v. C. Rush (Elsthorpe). Horace MacFarlane (Feilding) v. 8. Robinson (Napier). Peter Sutton (Feilding) v, J. Hargreaves (Elsthorpe)-
