Two unknown men posing as detectives entered the house of the Swedish Consul-General, Dr. Manner, at Stuttgart, and beat him unconscious with heavy- instruments, causing concussion. Swedish and German relations have recently been strained owing to Swedish press criticism of the Nazis. REICHSBANK PRESIDENT RESIGNS. (Received 17, 10.50 a.m.) Berlin, March 16. Dr. Luther has resigned the presidency of the Reichsbank. SOCIALISTS TO BOYCOTT REICHSTAG. (Received 17, 12.30 p.m.) Berlin, March 16. Though it was generally understood that ’they would be excluded if they attended' 121 Socialist deputies decided to boycott the opening of the Reichstag on March 21. Herr Schacht succeeds Dr. Luther as President of the Reichsbank. The Bavarian Premier, Herr Held, has resigned and General von Epl takes the Premiership.
