QUEENSWOOD SCHOOL
ANNUAL SWIMMING SPORTS. A very pleasant afternoon was spent at the Maddison Baths, Hastings, yesterday afternoon, when Queenswood School held its annual swimming sports. There were many parents and friends present who all enjoyed the keen spirit of the competitors and the exciting racing. The senior points cup was won by Rosemary Miller and the junior points prize by Tiny Groome. After the events Mrs E. J. Herrick presented the prizes, and cheers wore called for by the sports captain, Norms Stewart. Miss Rixon had thoughtfully provided hot drinks for the competitors, as the afternoon was not sunny. Among those present were: Mrs E. J. Herrick, Mrs Hunter (Porangnhau), Mrs Pufflett, Airs Murfitt, Mrs Hennah, Mr and Mrs J. J. Faulkner, Mrs Ford. Airs A. Mclntyre, Air and Airs N. Aliller,, Airs D. Hursthouse, Mrs Peirss (Napier), Mrs N. Stewart, Mrs and Miss McLeod, Mr St, J. Hindinarsb, Airs Shield, Mrs J. Circuit, Mrs Bridge, Mrs J. Kelsey, Miss Smail, Miss Lindsay' Mrs H. Small, Alisa Dugleby. The programme and results were as follow:— Breaststroke.—First class, 25 yards: Antoinette Faulkner I’, I'utti Hennah 2, K. Aliller 3. Second claw, 25 yards: AL Puflett 1, S. Alaclntyro 2, 11. Baird 3. Third A, 15 yards: J. Faulkner 1, Tiny Groome 2, AL Afaclntyre 3. Third B, 15 yards: B. Herrick 1, Phyllis Hennah 2, H. Peirso 3. Overarm.—Firrst class, 25 yards: B.
