WAGE CUTS RESTORED
IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES’ DECISION. (Received 16, 12.30 p.m.) London, Mar. 15. Imperial Chemical Industries is restoring the 1931 wage cut to 25,000 employees, involving £lBO,OOO per annum. Sir Harry McGowan, the president, states that though the world situation is unsatisfactory, the company desires to recognise the workers’ helpful cooperation. The year’s profit was £6,415,000, compared with £4,688,000 the previous year.
