WEEKLY MARKET REPORT
GORDON WALKER LTD. Messrs Gordon Walker Ltd. report holding their usual weekly market sale on Saturday last, when, they offered a good yarding of all classes of live and dead stock to a full attendance of the publie. Poultry throughout the day was much firmer in price, pigs being on a par with previous rates. The following prices were realised: — Poultry; Table birds 1/4 to 2/7, W.L. hens 1/1 to 2/1, W.L. oockerels lOd to 1/7, 8.0. hens 1/8 to 2/5, B O cockerels 1/5 to 2 7. 18. ducks 1 6 to 2/1. Muscovy ducks 2/3, W.L. pullets 3/3 to 4/4, 8.0. pullets 2/9 to 3/9. Pigs: Weaners 6/6 to 11/6, slips 11/to 14/6, stores 19/- to 24/6, porkers £1 6/6 to £1 12,6. Dairy stock: 1 Jersey heifer £5 12/8, 1 Jersey cow £3 10/-. Fruit, produce and sundries realised satisfactory prices to the vendor*.
