NON-UNION BAND
SEQUEL TO LONDON DANCE HALL IN AUSTRALIA HOUSE LOndon, Dec. 18. Through its basement dance hall, Australia House has been made to figure jn a trades union storm. The National Trades Union Club arranged a dance there, and engaged a band of non-union instrumentalists, on a plea that union rates were excessive. The Musicians’ Union protested, and Mr W. A. Wall, secretary of the London Trades Council, threatened to tender hjs resignation, but the “blackleg band” played, nevertheless.
