ARMED ROBBERS
BANK MESSENGERS ATTACKED. ONE SHOT DEAD. (United Press association—By CableCopyright.) (Received 1, 1.30 pm.) Berlin, Oct. 31. Armed robbers in > motor nt. tacked two bank messengers carrying a box of £2500 from the branch of the Reichgbank kt Erfurt. They shot one messenger dead and wounded the other. While they were loading the box on the ear a policeman came out of a neighbouring station and the robbers dropped the box and fled. The constable fired at the dar, and it is believed that one robber was wounded. The encounter took place in daytime in a busy street.
