HUNGER-MARCHERS
CALL AT DOWNING STREET. PETITION AGAINST CUTS. London, Oct. 29. After finding that the House of Commons was not sitting, the deputation of hunger marchers, including women carrying haversacks, called at No. 10 Downing Street with a letter asking the Speaker to receive a delegation at the bar of the House, petitioning against economy cuts and revealing tho appalling conditions of millions of unemployed. There was also a letter to Mr MacDonald requesting a public inquiry into the Hyde Park incidents and the Immediate release of the prisoners. A special messenger is conveying the second letter to Mr MacDonald, who is out of town. The marchers, eating oranges, then returned to headquarters.
