DOGGED BY STORMS

THE BETH’S ROUCH TRIP. ARRIVAL AT SYDNEY. Sydney, Oct. 30. Displaying fortitude worthy of oldtime adventurers in cockleshells, five men reached Sydney overnight from Auckland in the 13-ton motor yacht Beth. Tho party consisted of T. Webb and his two sons, of Adelaide, and Cecil Bowman and Basil Stallard ,of New Zealand. They were dogged by storms and terribly confused seas, many of which broke inboard. The wind was howling all the time and one of the Webbs was thrown from his bunk throe times. Sea sickness was prevalent aboard. Wretched weather was experienced all the way from Norfolk and Lord Howe Islands, but the little craft rode the seas well. Some members of the party cherished not the slightest hope of getting through safely.
