“A DYING INSTITUTION" ENGLISH VICAR’S VIEWS REFUSAL TO HOLD SPECIAL SERVICE. (United Press Association—By CableCopyright.) (Received 29, 10.45 a.m.) London, Oct. 28. “I regard Armistice Day as a dying institution,” said the Bev. P. Carpenter, vicar of New Mills, Derbyshire, who has refused to hold a special Armistice Day service. He said he would conduct a service but it would be an ordinary Sunday morning service. “A good church-goer does not n|pd a' special day to think and pray on the lines of Armistice Day,” he said.
