The well-known sire, Rangitero, by Papakura, died recently. He was a first-class two-year-old in Desert Gold’s year, but his stock hardly fulfilled the good things expected of them when his capabilities as a racehorse are remembered. Mr D. Buick, who owned Rangitero. now has Peach Brandy doing stud duty for him. The same breeder is at present handling a nice colt foal by Colossus from Miss Detonation.
