PIGEON RACING
HASTINGS HOMING CLUB. RACE FROM MASTERTON. The above club flew the first Masterton race last Saturday. The birds were liberated by Mr W. Harding at 10 a.m. in fine weather. The winning bird flew the distance, 114 miles, in 2hrs 43min 42sec. Results:— Mr C. Martin’s b.c.c Old Jeff, 1307yds per min 1 Mr C. Martin’s b.c.h. Spab, 1206yds per min 2 Mr C. Martin’s b.c.h. Aloha, 1205.1 yds per min 3 Mr E. Curtis’s b.c.c. Rajah, 1203.6 yds per min 4 Mr A. Harrison’s b.c.c. 307, 1184.4 yds per min 5 Mr A. Harrison's b.c.c. 103, 1168,3 yds per min 6 Other lofts: H. Holdsworth and P. Percv.
