N.S.W. KING’S PRIZE MEETING. (United Press Association—By Cable— Copyright.) (Received 13, 10.35 a.m.) Sydney, Oct. 13. The first stage of the King’s Prize opened in favourable weather. The Prince of Wales Match, seven shots at 300, 500 and 600 yards, was won by H. M. Nott (South Australia) after a shoot-off with J. Perrin (Queensland). E. Ballinger was brilliant, registering 102 out of 105, and secured thirteenth place. Other New Zealanders scored as follows: —O’Donnell 98, Cromie 98, A. Ballinger, Rule and Carter each 96, Nicholl, W. Ballinger and Chapman 95, Koppert 91. The Holmes Shoot (possible 40) resulted: —Chapman (37) 1, Cromie (35) 2, Nicholl (34) 3. Nott and Perrins scored 104. Nott has already won four King’s Prizes, one Victorian and three South Australian. Over 150 possibles were recorded yesterday at 500 yards, a record for the Anzae range.
