DON BRADMAN
CONFLICTING statements. WILL HE PLAY OR NOT? (United Press Association—By CableCopyright.) (Received 13, 10.30 a.m.) Sydney, Oct. 13. The chairman of the Cricket Board of Control Mr Robertson, stated that Bradman had told the board that ho would not write for the press. Bradman emphatically denies this. It is uncertain whether Bradman will play for the Australian XI. in Perth. Excursion trains were contemplated from as far as Kalgoorlie for the fixture, but the Railway Department is not advertising the timetable until! it is known whether Bradman will be playing. A message from the Orontes, at sen says that the Englishmen regard Bradman as certain to play.
