The Board of Trade returns for September are as follows:— Total imports, £54,266,000; total exports,’£26,22B,OTO; re-exports, £2,901,000. ‘ The principal decreases are: Imports: Grain and flour, £739,000, meat £914,000, animals for food £957,000, wood and timber £692,000, iron and steel and manufactures thereof £967,000, cotton yarns and manufactures thereof £697,000, woollen ditto £1,150,000, apparel £1,383,000, vehicles £606,000. Exports: Coal £604,000, vehicles £969,000. The increases are: Imports: Raw cotton £959,000. • Exports: Cotton yams and manufactures thereof £660,000,
