NEW SEASON GOODS!

.< -MORROW’S BIC ATTRACTION. KARASIC AND DEMETRAL WRESTLE. New goods always attract attention, and for that reason Al Karasic, the Russian Lion, and Harry Demetral, the Greek wrestler, should draw a good house r at the Hastings Municipal Theatre to-morrow evening. Whilst both men will be making their debut in Hastings, each is well-known to enthusiasts by reputation, for they have done their full share in providing some of the finest and most exciting displays seen in the cities.

Demetral is a Greek of widespread reputation. He is a glutton for work, and puts plenty of action into his displays. It is said of him that he has thrown more men through the ropes ' than any other wrestler that has visited New Zealand this season. He specialises in one of the most intricate holds that the mat game has—the famous key-lock~and Karasic will have to step spritely if he is to keep out of this remarkable hold. The Greek is by no means a one-act show, as he has a great variety of grips. The same applies to the Russian, who takes the keenest delight in tossing an opponent all round the ring in the most exciting manner imaginable with his headlocks. He, too, is a lightning worker, and to-morrow evening Hawke’s Bay enthusiasts should be given the finest wrestling entertainment that has yet been provided in the province. Judging by the big booking at Dick Austen’s there is going to be a record house. Patrons would be well advised to remember that it costs nothing to book a seat, and that the box office closes at midday to-morrow. An exceptionally fine lot of amateurs will appear in the preliminaries, there being a special four five-minute round bout between those two highly attractive amateurs, Mace and Wilson. The amateur bouts will be as follow: — Kent (Napier) v. Erickson (Hastings). Stewart (Hastings) v. Morley (Hastings). Small (Hastings) v. Coutts (Napier). Rangi (Hastings) v. Ormsby (Hastings). Mace (Napier) v. Wilson (Napier). The first-mentioned bout is of three five-minute rounds, , and the others, with the exception of the .special l bout, three three-ininuto rounds.
