VON CRONAU'S FLIGHT. FURTHER STAGE COVERED. St. Paul's Island, Aug. 31. Von Gronau arrived on Tuesday night from Dutch Harbour. He planned to fly to Atul, but was halted by bad weather and radio trouble. His flying time was five hours 20 minutes LONG DISTANCE FLYING. EFFORT TO MAKE NEW RECORD. British Official Wireless Service. Rugby, Aug. 30. Plans are being made for the resumption of the attempt to set up a new long distance record flight from England to South Africa, and it is hoped conditions will be suitable for this attempt by November. The Fairey Napier monoplane especially built for the flight last year has been kept in good order and its range is estimated at not less than 6000 miles.
