A Masterton resident, Mrs E. M. Church, of High street, has in her possession a bread knife which bears the date 1700. It is in constant use in every meal at her home, and was usid constantly by her mother and her giandmother before her The ivory handle is still a fair colour. Mrs Church has another interesting possession, a French Bihle in two volumes bearing the date 1669. She believes that there are only two copies of this edition in existence,.
