There is a good attendance and the track is in good order. Results: — Gisborne Hurdles.—4 St. Ames 1, 7 Atholspear 2, 3 Haiti 3. Scr.: Neil, Monetize. Won gy 1} lengths, a length between second and third. Time, 2.55 I-o. Trial Handicap.—l Black Songster 1, 5 Kahunoke 2,2 Bird Call 3. AU started. Won by one and a-quarter lengths, a length between second and third. Time, 1.16 1-5. Waikanae Handicap.—7 Head gerang 1,2 Orby’s Choice 2, 3 Teller 3. Scr.: Toboggan. Won by half a length, a quarter of a length between second and third. Time, 1.46 3-5. SOUTH CANTERBURY MEETING. Timaru, July 30. The South Canterbury Hunt Club’* meeting is being held on the Washdyke course to-day. The track is in fair order, although a little heavy as the result of recent rain. The weather is favourable, and there is a satisfactory attendance. Results:— Ladlow Hack and Hunters’ Hurdles. —5 Dainty Ways 1, 1 Full Measure 2, 2 Rameses 3. Scratched: Morena, Royal Mint. All Smiles. Won by four lengths. Time, 2.55 4-5. Pareora Hack Handicap—l Adult 1, 4 Traylavah 2, 3 Prince Tractor 3. Scratched: Royal Estate. Won by a length, a length and a half between second and third. Time, 1.18 3-5. Teschemaker Memorial—] Deportment 1, 4 Pcterettc 2.2 Si/ Richard 3. Scratched: Burglar, Pleasant Point. Won by two lengths, three lengths between second and third. Time, 5.36 4-5.
