“THOUGHTS IN A LIFT”
A local business man having spent a futile hour arguing about methods of curing the slump, pressed the button and stepped into the lift without looking at the attendant. A cheery greeting called his attention to the young lady who plied her needles as the lift shot upwards. He got out, having his up-lift in more ways than one. Here at least were two ways of real help—keep smiling and use more wool. So he returned to his office in a good humour and was glad that the women of New Zealand are cheerfully knitting their way back to prosperity.
