COUNTY GAMES SUTCLIFFE REACHES HIS 2000. DACRE SCORES 74. (United Press Association—By CableCopyright.) London, July 22. Sutcliffe has reached 2000 runs for the eleventh successive season. This is a record, though Hobbs on 17 occasions has scored over 2000 in a season. County results are as follows:— Leicester in the first innings made 226 —Armstrong 115—and in the second 83—Wyatt 5 for 24. Kent in the first innings made 295 and in the second lost one for 16. Kent won by nine wickets.

Lancashire in the first innings made 216 —Scott five for 53 —and in the second 292—Hopwood 91. Sussex in the first made 220—Sibbles six for 91—and in the second lost four for 68. Sussex won on the first innings. Surrey in the first innings made 156 —Goddard six for 39—and in the second 202—Goddard five for 70. Gloucester in the first made 114 — Brown six for 31—and in the second 195— Dacre 74; Brown six for 56. Surrey won by 49 runs. Worcester in the first innings made 281 and in the second lost three for 211 (dec.). Glamorgan in the first made 132 and in the second lost two for 125. Worcester won on the first innings. Somerset in the first innings made 245—Paine five for 66—and in the second 261—Young 92. Warwick in the first made 179 and in the second lost five for 80. Somerset won on the first innings. Yorkshire in the first innings lost 9 for 384 (dec.) —Sutcliffe 89. Northants in the first made 161 and followed on to make 207—Macaulay six for 35. Yorkshire won by an innings and 16 runs. Hampshire in the first innings made 240 and in the second 187 —Fames five for 52. Essex in the first made 115— Kennedy five for 43—and in the second 184—Herman seven for 50.
