IRISH FREE STATE

RESULT OF CONVERSATIONS EFFECT ON OTTAWA CONFERENCE. STATEMENT BY MR THOMAS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 14, 12.30 p.m.) Rugby, June 13. In the House of Commons the Rt. Hon. J. H. Thomas was asked whether as a result of the recent conversations with members of the Irish Free State Government it was now proposed to conduct further negotiations in preparation for Ottawa. Mr Thomas said he had nothing to add to the official communique issued last Friday except that he understood it to be likely that further communication would be received from the president of the Executive Council of the Irish Free State after he had had an opportunity for discussion with his colleagues.
