TO-DAY’S WAIPUKURAU SALE. SMALL CATTLE ENTRY. The weekly Waipukurau stock sale was held to-day in the presence of a fairly large attendance of buyers. The cattle entry was a small one, and the prices ruling for fat stock were on a par with recent values. ’ Fat sheep prices were below those ruling at Stortford Lodge of late. The bidding generally lacked animation. Prices were: — Cattle.— l cow, £3 4/-; 2 light heifers, £2 4/-; good vealer, £1; 8 heifers, £2 7/6; 2 young heifers, £2 10/-; 2 heifers passed at £1; 3 cows likewise £1 15/-; 1 light steer brought £2; 1 light heifer, £1 5/6; 2 fair quality cows. £1 5/-; 1 light cow, 12/6; good dairy cow, second calver, £7 5/-; I good dairy cow, £5; 2 prime heavy heifers passed at £3 12/-; 1 vealer brought 17/-. Fat Sheep.— l2 ewes, fair quality, realised 7/9; 3 ewes, 7/6; 35 ewes, 5/8; 57 ewes, mostly young, 7/6; 59 lambs, 10/-; 7 ewes,'s/-, 41 ewes, 6/2; 24 ewes passed at 5/3; 1 wether brought 10/-; 11 ewes 6/1; 2 wethers 10 9; 30 do. 10/5, 9 lambs, 13/2.

Store Sheep.— 2os 5-yr. ewes passed at 10/7; 94 2-th. ewes brought 14/-; 254 4 and 5-yr. ewes, 9/3; 9 wethers and 8 ewes, 8/6; 61 2-th. ewes, 13/-; 96 ewe lambs passed at 8/11; -58 2-th. ewes sold at 15 3; 91 ewe lambs 10/-; 70 wethers, 10'2; 21 ewe hoggets. 7/-;
